Link Child Foundation (LCF) wants to make it easier and safer for the vulnerable people in the slum areas of Mbale, not just day to day, but also in a long-term perspective. At the school of LCF, children receive nutritious meals, education, and time to play and to just be children. All under the supervision of caring and responsible adults.

 

In addition to this, LCF has savings groups, counseling and vocational training for young mothers. They learn how to manage personal finances while being part of a network of other mothers in the same situation.

Our social workers regularly go for home visits with the families involved in the LCF.

 

There are also workshops organized in the community where important topics such as family planning, HIV / AIDS, child welfare, domestic violence, hygiene, children's rights, etc. are taught and discussed.
