Vocational training is included in Link Child Foundation’s educational department. This is an offer we mainly give to young mothers in need of an alternative to the public school. Young mothers in Uganda face several challenges because of social norms, culture or family traditions.  If a girl gets pregnant before finishing school, the girl is most likely not allowed to finish the studies and will, therefore, struggle to get a job. Link Child Foundation gives one-year training in hairdressing and tailoring. We provide support and help to the girls in getting a job after completing the training, and we invite them to join one of our many saving groups.
