When Link Child Foundation was established, we first started a day center for young children, so parents could focus on work and income to better support their family. When these children eventually became older, there was a need to expand the project.

 

In Uganda, children start nursery school at the age of 3 years. There are three classes called; baby class, middle class and top class. After Top class, the students start school in first grade. Our nursery school is a good mix of learning, play, and care. The children learn to be active, and already have their first exam at the age of 3. This is done throughout the country and is intended as a guideline for teachers to see how the children develop and learn before school starts.

 

The nursery school at Link Child Foundation is located at the family center, where the primary school and the social office are located.
